A Lovecraft FPS on the Virtual Boy — and after 31 years, it finally came out in English.

A first-person crawl through a Lovecraftian mansion, monochrome red, in a headset. The atmosphere is the point: a red-on-black corridor in an enclosed visor is genuinely unnerving in a way no flat-screen port reproduces. Mechanically it is crude, but it is the only survival-horror game on the platform and one of the few improved by the hardware limitations.

Its Nintendo Switch Online release as The Mansion of Innsmouth is historic — the first Japan-exclusive Virtual Boy game to receive an official Western release, three decades late.
