Car combat built around ComLynx first and single-player second — the most under-appreciated multiplayer game on the platform.
Beyond Games released this in 1993 as a first-person vehicular deathmatch, and its whole design assumes you have friends with Lynxes. Linked play is where it works; alone it is a curiosity. That is a hard sell in 1993 and an easier one now that a second console costs less than a new release.
The catch is the one that killed ComLynx commercially and still applies: every player needs their own cartridge. A four-player BattleWheels session means four copies.
Before you buy
Complete copies carry roughly double the loose price and sealed copies more again, so the packaging is the thing to inspect. If you are buying multiples for linked play, loose is obviously the way — and buying four loose carts is cheaper than one sealed one.
