About NFL Football
NFL Football is an American football video game for the Atari Lynx. It was developed by Blue Sky Software, and published by Epyx in 1992. The Lynx system is to be rotated for vertical orientation in the player's hands, with the display zooming in and out from an overhead perspective. For two-player mode, a computer opponent is available or two Lynx systems can be connected via a cable. The players can choose a team from either the AFC or the NFC. The game offers an extensive clipboard of plays and formations "designed by a real NFL coordinator".

BlueSky's American football sim, and a reasonable one for 1992 hardware.
BlueSky Software — who also handled the Lynx Ninja Gaiden — developed it, with Atari publishing in 1992. Its pitch at the time was specific and unusual for a handheld: playbooks designed by real NFL offensive coordinators, digitised voices calling the plays, a field that scales as the action moves, and support for up to four players. Play-calling on a small screen is a genuine interface problem and this version solves it acceptably.
Community lists report two-player ComLynx and Atari’s own 1991 preview material claimed four; the period Lynx FAQ does not cover the title, so we list it as reported rather than confirmed. Never re-released.
