Pac-Land on Wikipedia
Pac-Land is a 1984 platform game developed and published by Namco for arcades. It was released in North America by Bally Midway, and in Europe by Atari Games. Controlling Pac-Man, the player must make it to the end of each stage to return a lost fairy back to its home in Fairyland. Pac-Man will need to avoid obstacles, such as falling logs and water-spewing fire hydrants, alongside his enemies, the Ghost Gang. Eating large flashing Power Pellets will cause the ghosts to turn blue, allowing Pac-Man to eat them for points.

Namco's side-scrolling Pac-Man on hardware that could finally do it justice — and a better port than its reputation.
Atari published the Lynx conversion in 1991, and the thing to know before buying is that it is not a maze game. Where every previous Pac-Man variant had refined the same dot-eating scenario, Pac-Land drops him into a horizontally-scrolling, multi-level platformer with animated obstacles and monsters — a point period reviewers made repeatedly, because buyers kept expecting otherwise. The arcade original leaned on colour and parallax, and the Lynx is one of the few handhelds of the era that could deliver both.
It sits above the platform median on price without being a genuine rarity, which usually signals demand from Pac-Man collectors rather than Lynx ones.
Before you buy
Low risk. Sealed copies run to several times the loose price, so a sealed purchase is a packaging purchase — grade it or buy complete instead.
