Not a game — a multigame cartridge, and one of the first things the Lynx homebrew scene ever shipped commercially.

S.I.M.I.S. is a compilation cartridge collecting several homebrew Lynx games and demos onto one board, released in 1998 through L. Baumstark and Songbird Productions. It was shown publicly at World of Atari ’98 alongside the first Songbird titles, at the point when the post-Atari scene was turning from hobby projects into boxed products you could buy.

Listings and databases routinely describe it as a single game. It is not, and that matters if you are buying it expecting one — what you get is a sampler of the earliest Lynx homebrew.

Before you buy

Note the price shape: its sealed figure sits BELOW its complete-in-box figure, which reflects very thin sold data rather than a real market inversion — treat all three numbers as soft. As with the rest of the post-commercial catalogue, check whether it is still available new before paying secondary-market prices.
