Super Off Road on Wikipedia

Ivan 'Ironman' Stewart's Super Off Road is a 1989 racing video game developed and published by Leland Corporation for arcades. It was designed and managed by John Morgan, who was also lead programmer, and endorsed by professional off-road racer Ivan Stewart. Virgin Games produced several home computer versions in 1990, with a version for the Nintendo Entertainment System released by Leland's Tradewest subsidiary the same year. It was followed by versions for most major home consoles, including the Master System, Sega Genesis, and Super Nintendo Entertainment System. A port for the Atari Jaguar was announced but never released. Some ports lack the Ivan Stewart branding because of licensing issues, and are known simply as Super Off Road.

Atari Lynx prices, all games & how to spot a fake

The Lynx price list's biggest surprise — a Telegames sports racer quietly sitting in the platform's top five.

Leland Interactive Media's overhead truck racer, published by Telegames in 1993. It is a good fit for the hardware: fixed single-screen tracks, no scrolling to strain the display, and four-player ambitions the Lynx could actually support over ComLynx. It plays well and reviews well, and almost nobody talks about it.

Its complete-in-box price is more than double loose, which puts it among the titles where the cardboard carries most of the value — and it has never been re-released, so the cartridge is still the only way to play it.

Before you buy

A 1993 Telegames release, so a curved-lip cartridge is correct. Given the complete-in-box multiple, treat the box and manual as the item being authenticated: offset print, sharp small text, inserts present, wear consistent with the cart inside.
